The Birthing of Colours

In 2006 I began gathering women together in my own church and through those early beginnings, women started to share laughter and tears as God began to speak into their lives. Surface talk disappeared, and depth and reality began to establish itself within the group.

As I meet regularly with women, individually and in groups,  I am seeing the supernatural power of God break down strongholds and set the captives free.  I have many years of experience in working with a wide range of people, and I am currently working as a counsellor to both individuals and couples, in my own private practice. I'm also an occasional blogger and speaker, and love to spend my free time walking my dog in the countryside, along with developing my creative flair in cooking and home interiors!

During a cold February morning in 2010, God gave me a vision. A vision that I knew I couldn't ignore. He wanted women to know and believe they had been designed for purpose, created to accomplish more than they ever thought possible. "For we are his workmanship (masterpiece), created in christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them". Ephesians 2:10

I wrote  the vision down and Colours was birthed.

Running with this vision felt risky and scary. There was such a sense of mystery to the journey, with so many unknowns ahead. This has been a real  test of living by faith and not by sight. When I invite others to join with me, I often can't tell them where we are going, but I can guarantee it will be quite a journey, and it always has been!

I am a wife and mother of 3 adult children, and many other roles come along with that calling! Through seeing the transforming power of God in my own life, it is my heart's desire for other women to experience spiritual and emotional freedom for themselves.

In the last few years, Will my husband of 28 years, took a great leap of faith, by stepping into partnership with me! We began a new journey of learning. Our determination to make it work gave us the strength to overcome the many obstacles we faced along the way. We began to appreciate our differences, valuing the uniqueness we carried as a husband and wife team. We are excited to be launching the power of two for couples this June, sharing our own journey, and passing on what we have discovered along the way.

It is my heart's desire for Colours, not only to journey with women, but also with men and couples, "to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim  freedom for the captives, and the opening of prisons to those who are bound", referenced from Isaiah 61:1.
